Registration, billing and fee information

The Kids and Company Program for elementary aged children, Grades K-5, operates each school day from dismissal until 5:45 pm. (A Before School program is offered, only IF we get enough requests, beginning at 6:30 am.) We also operate 13 full days such as spring break, staff development and conference days. A variety of activities are offered in a fun, safe environment including art, gym games, reading, homework assistance, outdoor play, computer time, and crafts.
We offer 4 types of programs:

Summer Kids, Summer Youth Program, After School Care and Before School Care.

SUMMERKIDS (GR 1-5)(upcoming grade)

SummerKids is a summer child care program for children who will be entering first through 5th grade. Students who have completed K-1 will also be admitted. The program will be held at the Bemidji Middle School Mondays through Fridays from 6:45 am until 5:45 pm. Experienced, well trained staff supervise and plan fun and educational activities such as art, gym games and sports, outdoor activities including tennis, swimming, computer activities, and other fun projects. Friday field trips to regional attractions are included at no additional cost. Breakfast and lunch is available free through the free summer breakfast and lunch program, except for the last two weeks of the program. Rates for one child start at $21.00 per day. Transportation to other recreational activities may be provided for an additional fee.
Program dates: June 9 through August 15, 2008.
NOTE: New Policy: Registrations received after May 29, 2008 (last day of school) will be assessed a $20.00 fee in addition to deposit.

SUMMERYOUTH (GR 6-8) (upcoming grade)

Middle School students now have a fun and safe place to be in the summer! This program will follow the same schedule as SummerKids and provide the same services, but it is designed specifically for youth who will be attending Middle School in the fall. Although similar to SummerKids, this program will be held in a separate classroom and will allow the students to have a stronger voice in the program design so that activities are suited to their age, and will operate independently from SummerKids for most of the day. Since transportation to activities is also provided (may involve an additional fee), this is a great way to keep your middle school aged child involved in recreational activities in town and positively engaged throughout the summer.

AFTER SCHOOL CARE

Our after school program operates at each ISD #31 elementary school (Central, Horace May, JW Smith, Lincoln, Northern and Solway) until 5:45 pm each school day. Registration is ongoing; some school sites fill quickly, so register early!

BEFORE SCHOOL CARE

We will offer before school care at any site where we have sufficient enrollment. We need a minimum of six children enrolled per day to offer this service.
