Are your kids wanting to go home to an empty house? Make sure they're ready!
Community Education is offering a new class called, "Home Alone". This four-hour course will tell kids what they need to know to take care of themselves for a few hours after school. They will learn about possible emergencies and how to handle them, what skills they need, what information they need to gather, and ideas to handle fears, boredom and easy snacks. The first session, for kids entering 6th - 8th grades, will be Thursday, June 26, from noon to 4:30 at the middle school. Another session for grades 4-5 will be held on Wednesday, July 16, same times and location. Call or stop by Community Education to register. Sign up quickly to ensure your spot!
