Community Education Youth Sports Coaches 
Community Education is looking for a variety of coaches for youth fall sports such as: flag football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, cross country running, etc. Applicants must have knowledge of the sport and an ability and interest in working with youth. Coaches provide instruction on basic skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship. All sport categories are welcome if you have skills and talents in other areas. Programming will typically be held two days a week at the elementary schools after school hours and early evenings.  Programs will run during the months of September through December for 4-8 weeks depending on the sport.  Tournaments may be held on a few Saturdays if scheduled.  Pay rate is $12.45 to $16.00 per hour.

Child Care/After Care Workers for Preschools
These are school term positions at the Paul Bunyan Center Early Childhood Program, J.W. Smith Elementary School and the Jack & Jill Preschool Program.  The positions are Monday-Friday from 2:15 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.  The person in this position is responsible for the care of young children as well as providing a safe and secure environment, communicating with parents, and recordkeeping.  Preference will be given to applicants who have completed two years of post-secondary education, have experience in early childhood, and hold or be able to obtain first aid and CPR certifications.  The hourly pay range is $12.33-$15.24.

Kids & Company Childcare Workers:
Applications are being accepted for Site Leaders and Activity Leaders in the Kids & Company After School Program for the 2022-2023 school year. Work hours are from 2:30 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. each school day. 
Site Leaders:  The hourly pay range is $13.38-$19.03.  Requirements: (1) experience training and leading multiple staff members, (2) strong organizational & problem solving skills, and (3) flexible and positive attitude.
Activity Leaders:  The hourly pay range is $12.94-$18.31.  Requirements: (1) education courses related to school age development, (2) strong interpersonal skills, (3) ability to plan and lead developmentally appropriate activities for young children, and (4) positively guide and provide direction to other staff.

Instructional Paraprofessionals:
These are school term, job level 4 ($20.10-$20.47/hour) position at Jack & Jill Preschool (6.75 hours/day 7:45-3:00 p.m.) and the Paul Bunyan Center. 22 hours/week
The weekly schedule for the 22 hours/week position at Paul Bunyan Center is:
            Monday:  12:00 p.m. – 7:45 p.m. (7.25 hrs/day)
            Tuesday:  8:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (4.25 hrs/day)
            Wednesday:  8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. (6.25 hrs/day)
            Thursday:  8:15 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. (4.25 hrs/day)
                       
The purpose of these positions are to assist teachers in the instruction of students.  
To qualify for paraprofessional positions, applicants must have two years of study at an institution of higher education (AA, AS, 60 semester credits or 90 quarter credits) or a minimum score of 460 on the ParaPro Assessment.  Applicants must submit college transcripts or official ParaPro test results to the completed application to be considered for a position.

Aquatics Workers
Positions exist for Water Safety Instructors (WSI), Lifeguards, and Swim Club Coaches in the Community Education Aquatics Program. 
WSI/Lifeguards:  The hourly pay range is $12.79-$16.72.  Daytime and evening hours are available.   Applicants must have current American Red Cross certification in WSI and/or Lifeguard Training plus CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification.  These certifications may be obtained through Community Education. 

Swim Club Coaches:  The hourly pay range is $14.04-$18.31.  Positions are for 8 to 9 week sessions throughout the year.  Coaches will work 8 to 15 hours per week.  To qualify applicants must have CPR, First Aid, and safety training for swim coaches or lifeguard training.
