Early Childhood Family Education and School Readiness
Quality Learning Opportunities for You and Your Child
Parenting information and support for you!
What is ECFE and SR?
Bemidji's Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) and School Readiness (SR) programs are for all families in the Bemidji School District. We offer many opportunities for you and your infant, toddler, two-year-old or preschooler.
We even have classes you can attend with more than one child.
We recognize that parents are a child's first and most important teachers and that sometimes parents need support and encouragement for this responsibility. ECFE/SR offers a variety of classes that meet on a weekly basis.
ECFE and SR classes are held at Paul Bunyan Center (3300 Gillett Drive NW)
and more SR classes are also held at Jack & Jill Preschool (on the BSU campus)
To inquire about current ECFE and School Readiness openings please contact Sue at 333-3119. Please register online (www.bemidjicommunityed.com), in person at the Paul Bunyan Center or at the Bemidji Community Education Office.
You may join a class any time during the school year.

No family will be turned away because of inability to pay. Special payment plans can be arranged for any of our classes. Please call (218)333-3284 ext. 35311 or email Community Education Director, Rachel Amdahl at to request special payment arrangements.
